O governo de Joe Biden teria informado ao Taleban uma lista dos nomes de cidadãos dos Estados Unidos, estrangeiros titulares de green card e outros aliados afegãos que trabalharam para os EUA e OTAN, e que precisavam ter permissão para entrar no aeroporto para serem evacuados, uma decisão que gerou indignação generalizada de autoridades e críticos.
A medida, detalhada para algumas redes de TV, inclusive o Daily Wire (fonte principal da matéria) foi detalhada por três funcionários civis e militares do governo dos EUA e do Congresso, e foi projetada teoricamente para acelerar a evacuação de dezenas de milhares de pessoas de regiões afastadas, enquanto o caos estourou na capital do Afeganistão na semana passada depois que o Taleban assumiu o controle do país.
Mas a decisão de fornecer nomes específicos ao Taleban, que tem uma história de assassinato brutal de afegãos que colaboraram com os EUA e outras forças da coalizão durante o conflito, irritou legisladores e oficiais militares. T

Porém como se sabe, o Talebã não está cumprindo os acordos e está prendendo os colaboradores afegão que eles podem encontrar, para seus próprios “justiçamentos”, ou para estorquir mais dinheiro do governo dos EUA.
Recentemente, chegou ao conhecimento público dos EUA a história de um grupo de estudantes e pais destes, oriundos da Califórnia, que foram resgatados por esforços independentes da associação da universidade e da igreja deles, que contratou um voo especial de repatriamento, segurança de PMC’s e as somas em dinheiro exigidas pelos Talebãs para o passe seguro até o aeroporto de Kabul. Tudo sem depender de qualquer ajuda do governo americano.
Um funcionário do Pentágono disse aoDailyWire e a Fow News sob anonimato que a administração Biden efetivamente “colocou todos aqueles afegãos em uma lista da morte”.
“É simplesmente terrível e chocante e faz você se sentir maldito”, acrescentou o funcionário.
Entre a opinião pública, políticos republicanos e até mesmo democratas, jornalistas, críticos e militares anônimos, todos expressaram fúria com a decisão do fornecimento da lista ao Talebã e o pagamento antecipado de passes em dinheiro vivo ao Talebã.
